This is the first official post to my blog, so I would like to start by saying welcome. The goal of this blog is simple; to share with the .NET development community everything from controls, mini frameworks, code snippets, etc... that I have created as well as solutions to issues I have come across over the last Life.Years.Count(x => x.WasDeveloper) years.
As we all know, especially when it comes to development, there are many ways to skin a cat. I will make no claims that my solutions are neccessarily the "best" approach to a particular challenge, but simply successful solutions that I have found. I am always open to constructive ciriticism and commentary on how to do something more efficiently. I am also quite open to comments like "Dude, you rule" and "You are the man", etc...
Just a little background on myself; My name is George Aletras, I am a .NET Software Developer now working for HomeNet Auto. I recently resigned from a 9 year position at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center to take on the position at HomeNet. I have concurrently been an independent sofware consultant working under my business AletraSoft. I have been a professional software developer/engineer for more than 12 years. Like many of us, I became interested in software design as a teenager passionate about creating computer games. And, like many of us, the game developer thing did not pan out.
Now that I got all of that out, I would like to say I am excited to share with you my knowledge (or lack there of) and hope you return frequently to read and comment on my posts.
